New from Flying Guillotine!

The Aftermath

But maybe the wolf’s desire
was nothing more
than the want
to be with
someone else.
Maybe he loved
so much
he could only express
through consumption.

And maybe
she needed
rebirth, to destroy
evidence of her past.
Maybe she loved too much
and could only express
through destruction.

And maybe
climbing
out of a wolf’s belly,
our redness
covered by his redness,
is all want:
bodies
breaking free of bodies
consuming bodies.
